Following the award announcement earlier this year, Frank’s International today formally accepted the 2019 Hart Energy E&P Special Meritorious Award for Engineering Innovation for the Collar Load Support (CLS™) System for Stands. The CLS-S was recognized along with other category winners in an awards presentation held at the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, Texas.
According to the award webpage, the MEA awards program “recognizes new products and technologies designed by people and companies who understand the need for newer, better and constantly changing technological innovation to appease the energy-hungry world.”
The Frank’s International CLS™ for Stands answers that need with unique design, functionality, and compatibility with our proprietary Fluid Grip® Tongs that provides the industry’s only truly non-marking tubular handling system.
Jeremy Angelle, Senior Vice President of Technology & Engineering for Frank’s International, remarked, “This latest addition to our non-marking suite enables our CLS/Fluid Grip technology to reach a greater variety of applications through compatibility with stand running operations. This allows us to serve our customers across land, shelf and deepwater with a reliable solution that enhances safety, efficiency and well integrity. We are proud to receive this recognition and extend our congratulations to the Frank’s teams who brought this technology to fruition.”
