On January 31, 2018, Frank’s International hosted delegates from the China LNG and Gas Infrastructure Reverse Trade Mission for a networking breakfast in our Lafayette Administrative Center. The Lafayette event was part of an 11-day itinerary featuring site visits, presentations, and meetings in Washington, D.C., Houston, Sabine Pass, and Cameron, LA, among others, and was organized by the US Trade and Development Agency and the Bilateral Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the US Commercial Service, the Lafayette International Center and LAGCOE. The delegates included senior-level decision makers from the Chinese gas sector. Joining the delegates at the breakfast were members of the various US and local agencies, Lafayette Mayor-President Joel Robideaux, and local oil and gas business leaders.

Upon arrival, guests were invited to enjoy a breakfast featuring local specialties from popular area restaurants, including seafood crepes, fried alligator bites, boudin balls, beignets, and king cake. Breakfast was followed by remarks from Frank’s International’s Toby Pitre, Vice President of Operations for North America Offshore, Mexico & the Caribbean, Mayor-President Robideaux, David Phillips, Chairman of the Board of the Bilateral Chamber, and members of the delegation.  Following the speakers, guests enjoyed more opportunities for networking before the event concluded.

Frank’s well-appointed Lafayette Administrative Center, and its capacity for large industry gatherings, made it an ideal location for this event. Toby Pitre commented, “It was an honor to host the China LNG and Gas Infrastructure delegation, Mayor-President Robideaux, and other guests. As a company founded in Louisiana and with a significant operational and workforce presence in and around Lafayette, Frank’s is highly invested in supporting the growth and progress of the energy industry, and in helping build mutually beneficial relationships between US service, equipment and technology companies and prospective international business partners. Today’s gathering is a great example of such a forum.”
