Continuing a beloved annual tradition, on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, Frank’s Lafayette held its eleventh FranksGiving™ event benefiting 200 area families in need. FranksGiving provides a complete Thanksgiving meal in time for the holiday, so that local families may cook and share dinner in the comfort of their own homes. Throughout the morning, families identified by local charitable and faith-based organizations as well as trusted distribution partners were greeted at the staging area outside of the Frank’s International Training Center. There, Frank’s employee volunteers loaded vehicles with all of the ingredients needed for a traditional holiday meal.
The FranksGiving tradition started in 2009 and is a mainstay of Frank’s Lafayette’s community efforts. Funding for the meal kits comes from a combination of employee, corporate, and private donations. To date, FranksGiving has provided Thanksgiving meals to over 2200 families in the Acadiana area. The meal kits include a 10-12-lb. turkey, corn, green beans, yams, cranberry sauce, cornbread stuffing, rolls, macaroni and cheese, and a 2-liter drink.
