FranksGiving Event Marks Tenth Year of Donating Thanksgiving Meals to Acadiana Families

November 20, 2018

On Tuesday, November 20, 2018, Frank’s Lafayette held its tenth annual FranksGiving™ event benefiting 275 families in need. FranksGiving provides a complete Thanksgiving meal in time for the holiday, so that local families may cook and share dinner together in the comfort of their own homes. Throughout the morning, pre-identified families as well as distribution partners including area churches and charitable organizations pulled up to the staging area outside of the Frank’s International Training Center, where Frank’s employee volunteers loaded vehicles with all of the ingredients needed for a traditional holiday meal.

Cliff Roberts, Vice President of Global QHSE, commented, “It is so gratifying to be a part of 10 years of service with the generous and caring Frank’s team giving back to the community! We are deeply thankful and extend our best wishes to all for a happy and healthy holiday season.”

The FranksGiving tradition started in 2009 and has continued every year since without interruption, funded by a combination of employee, corporate, vendor and local business donations. To date, FranksGiving has provided Thanksgiving meals to approximately two thousand families in the Acadiana area. The meal kits include a 10-12-lb. turkey, corn, green beans, yams, cranberry sauce, cornbread stuffing, rolls, macaroni and cheese and a 2-liter drink.

“FranksGiving is an incredible opportunity for our Frank’s International family to come together and give back. We look forward to this event every year and are grateful for the ability to spread joy and thankfulness to 275 local families during this holiday season,” remarked Toby Pitre, Vice President of North America Offshore Field Operations.
