Hi, I’m Andy Sadler, senior delivery improvement manager for Expro’s Subsea Well Access product line, responsible for overseeing the projects department and working with regions to ensure an extraordinary standard of service delivery for our clients.

How did you get into this industry?

In 1994, I applied for a position as an Electrical Maintenance Technician at Expro's Great Yarmouth facility. Having previously worked for a company servicing Expro's electrical equipment, I was familiar with their operations and saw this as an opportunity to advance my career.

As a child I had always wanted to follow in my father’s footsteps and become a helicopter pilot. Clearly that did not happen, but I was always interested electrics and was fortunate enough to be offered an apprenticeship when I left school.

How long have you been at Expro?

Come November this year I will have been with Expro for 30 years. During my time at Expro I have worked in and visited a lot of different locations globally. This has given me the privilege of getting to meet some great people and visit lots of interesting locations.

How do you see the future of the subsea sector in 10 years?

I believe the industry will advance through technological improvements, focusing on increased efficiency with developments such as umbilical-less technology and a heightened emphasis on ultra-deepwater prospects.

Where were you, 40 years ago, when Expro entered the subsea sector?

I was working as an electrician with my former company.

Outside of work, what do you like to do?

Spending time with the family and walking the dog. I also enjoy skiing which I learned to do whilst living in Azerbaijan.

What keeps you motivated?

Seeing a project being successfully delivered & being able to make a difference.

What product from our subsea line would you use to describe yourself?

I'd choose ELSA HD because I consider myself reliable.
